CHIEF MIBENGE URGES PF TO HOLD A CONVENTION.

Chief Mibenge of the Ushi People of Luapula Province has called on the Patriotic Front (PF) to urgently convene a party convention and democratically elect a leader capable of uniting and rebuilding the former ruling party.

He said the party should vote for a leader with a proven track record of development and a genuine heart for the people, noting that strong leadership was key to restoring public confidence in the PF.

Chief Mibenge further cautioned against continued infighting and divisions within the party, urging members to put personal interests aside and work together for the survival and growth of the party.

He acknowledged development projects implemented during the PF administration, particularly in the health sector, and noted that Dr. Chilufya played a significant role in the expansion of health infrastructure during the tenure of late President Edgar Chagwa Lungu.

The Traditional emphasized that unity among all presidential aspirants was critical, warning that fragmentation would weaken the party’s ability to reorganize and reposition itself ahead of future political contests.

The traditional leader was speaking when Dr. Chilufya accompanied by some Party Members of the Central Committee and structures from Lusaka and Luapula Province paid a courtesy call on him.

Dr. Chitalu Chilufya thanked Chief Mibenge for his guidance and reaffirmed his respect for traditional leadership, party unity, and continued service to the Zambian people.
