FAZ VEEP BACKS CHIPOLOPOLO IN COMOROS DECIDER TONIGHT.

FAZ Vice President Mutale Ng’andu says he is confident of a positive result as the Chipolopolo prepare for tonight’s decisive group match against Comoros.

Ng’andu who is also delegation leader at the AFCON in Morocco, says the team heads into the encounter highly motivated by a smooth and well-managed AFCON journey so far, which he attributes to proper planning and strong Government support.

He says Football House is grateful to Government for facilitating the team’s pre-tournament camp in Spain, noting that the decision played a key role in preparing the squad for conditions in Morocco.

“Choosing Spain as our camping site was well thought out and we are grateful to Government for this gesture,” Ng’andu said.

He explained that the Spain camp helped the team acclimatise effectively, a move which led to a seamless transition into Morocco.

Ng’andu also praised the AFCON organising committee in Morocco and described the training facilities as suitable and up to standard.

“The facilities are appropriate and everyone understands what is at stake at this stage of the competition,” he said.

Looking ahead to the Comoros clash, Ng’andu described the match as crucial but said the Zambian camp remains united by a shared purpose.

“Whenever people come together with a common mission, you can always do better,” he said.

He added that the players are eager to repay Government support and the unwavering backing of the fans, the 12th player, with a strong performance and a positive result.

Ng’andu said the training sessions he has witnessed so far have shown the team’s determination to advance to the next round.

Zambia faces Comoros later today in an all-or-nothing encounter, with qualification firmly on the cards.
