KALAMPA WELCOMES NEW TECHNICAL COMMITTEE MEMBERS

 

The Nkana Football Club executive committee, led by President Justine Bwalya, has announced the appointments of two distinguished individuals to its Technical Committee. 


Moldon Malitoli and Dr. Dominic Muswala will serve as the only technical members for now, assisting the technical bench led by Head Coach Mwenya Chipepo. Both bring a wealth of experience and expertise that will greatly benefit the team as they strive for excellence on the field.


MOLDON MALITOLI: A NKANA LEGEND


Moldon Malitoli, is a celebrated figure in Zambian football. Moldon's journey in football is marked by passion and perseverance. His illustrious playing career began in the youth ranks of Lido Stars (Nkana Youth) before making a significant impact at Nkana FC from 1982 to 1996.


During his time with Nkana, Moldon helped the club secure numerous league titles, including championships in 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1993, and 1999. He played a crucial role in guiding Nkana to the finals of the 1990 African Club Champions, now known as the CAF Champions League.


On the national stage, Moldon represented Zambia at both junior and senior levels, featuring in three Africa Cup of Nations tournaments from 1994 to 1998. His contributions were pivotal in Zambia’s historic achievements, including a silver medal finish in 1994 and a bronze in 1996.


Post-retirement, Moldon pursued coaching, earning a CAF B Coaching qualification to mentor the next generation of football talent.


DR. DOMINIC MUSWALA: A DEDICATED SPORTS PHYSICIAN


Dr. Muswala is a Dental Surgeon based at Kitwe Teaching Hospital with deep roots in Zambian football. Coming from a family passionate about the sport, he has remained closely connected to the game. His elder brother, Francis Kangwa Muswala, was a goalkeeper for Mindolo United and Chibuku Warriors, while another elder brother, Ignatius Muswala, played as a goalkeeper for several clubs, including Mutondo United, Kabwe Warriors, and the Zambian National Team.


Between 2002 and 2005, Dr. Muswala served as the team doctor for Nkana Football Club, ensuring the health and well-being of its players. He is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery with Copperbelt University, based at Ndola Teaching Hospital.

The appointments of Moldon and Dr.Muswala bring a synergy of football expertise and medical knowledge, ensuring that Nkana remains at the forefront of Zambian football. Fans can look forward to a robust technical committee that prioritises player development, health, and performance on the field.
