THIRTY HOUSES FLOODED IN KANYAMA


The Lusaka City Council (LCC) has noted with concern the distressing situation of flooding affecting approximately 30 households in Kanyama Compound, particularly around Kanyama Hospital and Baptist Church area.

Council Public Relations Manager, Chola Mwamba says in response to the distress being experienced by the affected community, the Local Authority through its Department of Engineering and Infrastructure Development has acted swiftly by deploying engineers to the area.

Ms. Mwamba says the engineering team is currently on the ground assessing the extent and depth of the flooding in order to establish an effective and lasting solution.
