200 MW SOLAR PLANT ON THE CARDS IN KAFUE

 



Kafue Town Council held a stakeholder engagement meeting on Thursday, January 15,2026 on the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) for the proposed development of a 200 megawatt solar plant at Kudu Holding Farm.


Kafue Town Council Chairperson Buumba Malambo who chaired the meeting said the meeting also discussed the construction of a transmission line from the proposed solar plant to ZESCO’s Kafue West Switching Station.

Ms. Malambo said seating on 300 Hectors of Land ,the Solar Plant will have 300,000 solar Panels.
