MULAMBO HAIMBE UNDERSCORES FIRM ZAMBIA-UAE BILATERAL TIES WHILE IN ABU DHABI.
Minister of foreign affairs and international cooperation Mulambo Haimbe on Sunday, 4th January 2026, held bilateral meetings with his highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of foreign affairs, and Sheikh Shakhboot Bin Nahyan al Nahyan, Minister of state for foreign affairs of the united Arab Emirates.
The meetings took place in Abu Dhabi, capital of the
UAE.
During the meeting with his UAE counterpart, Sheikh Abdullah
bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Mr. Haimbe conveyed fraternal greetings from the President
of the Republic of Zambia, Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, to his counterpart, Sheikh Mohammed
Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Abu Dhabi.
Mr. Haimbe underscored the strong bilateral and
trade relations already existing between Zambia and the UAE, and expressed the
desire for these ties to broaden and deepen in the years ahead.
During the meeting in Abu Dhabi, the two sides
discussed ways of enhancing cooperation across a broad range of fields aligned
with the development priorities of both countries, in a manner that serves
their shared interests.
Sheikh Abdullah reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to
building productive development partnerships with Zambia, in a way that
contributes to prosperity and well-being for the peoples of both nations.
Mr. Haimbe was accompanied to these meetings by Zambia’s
Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, Prof Nkombomuuka, and Counsellor at the
Zambian mission in Abu Dhabi, Mr. Yimbilanji Sichone.

secretary protocol at the Zambian embassy in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Lameck
Zimba.
