PRESIDENT HICHILEMA PROMOTES DEFENSE CHOIR MEMBERS.
Zambia marked 34 years as a Christian nation with prayer and worship in Lusaka.
During the commemoration, the Defence and Security Choir ministered in song, with Zambia National Service Sergeant Elias Zyambo standing out for his composed and heartfelt ministration.
After the choir’s rendition, Sergeant Zyambo was called to the podium, where President Hakainde Hichilema briefly and privately interacted with him.
During the exchange, the President informed the Sergeant that he had promoted him to the next rank, in recognition of his discipline, conduct and service to the nation as a member of the Zambia National Service.
The moment, though understated, drew attention from those in attendance and was met with warm acknowledgment.
Sergeant Zyambo later expressed gratitude for the recognition, describing it as a humbling honour and a motivation to continue serving with professionalism and commitment.
The President has further promoted all members of the Defence and Security Choir.
