FAZ PRESIDENT KEITH MWEEMBA MOURNS ROAN UTD PRESIDENT

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has expressed deep sorrow at the passing of Roan United Football Club President, Dr. Pearson Mwale, who died in Lusaka after an illness.

FAZ President Keith Mweemba has described Dr. Mwale as a visionary football administrator whose leadership played a central role in the revival of Roan United Football Club.

Mweemba noted that Dr. Mwale’s impact on Roan United and Zambian football will be remembered for generations to come.

He said Dr. Mwale’s contribution to the game, particularly to Roan United, has been immense.

Mweemba says under Dr. Mwale’s visionary and resilient leadership, Roan United has experienced a remarkable resurgence, rising from the provincial ranks to the National League.

He said this achievement speaks volumes about his commitment, strategic thinking, and unwavering love for football.

Mweemba added that the club’s renewed competitiveness and stability were a direct result of Dr. Mwale’s leadership philosophy.

Mweemba has since offered words of comfort to the bereaved family.

This is according to a statement issued by FAZ Head Media and Communications, Nkweto Tembwe.
