PRESIDENT HAKAINDE HICHILEMA URGES ZAMBIANS TO REJECT VIOLENCE AHEAD OF AUGUST 13 POLLS
President Hakainde Hichilema has spoken strongly against political violence ahead of the August 13 General elections, warning that perpetrators will be brought to book.
Speaking during his National Address on the Progress Made in the Application of National Values and Principles in parliament today, the Head of state says there is no room for political violence and lawlessness.
And President Hichilema has commended Zambian for supporting the Amendment of the constitution.
He has commended Members of Parliament for supporting the constitution Amendment which has resulted in the delimitation of constituencies.
And President Hichilema has assured Citizens that his administration will hold peaceful General elections on August 13.
The head of state has appealed to all political actors to preach peace and avoid political violence.
He says his administration will continue promoting unit across the country.
On investment, President Hichilema says his Administration has attracted over $12 Billion in the last four years which he says has translated into jobs.

And President Hichilema says the government has reduced hours of loadshedding, and has apologized to the people of Zambia for the pain they endured during the period of loadshedding and in many locations completely reducing it.
He says the energy sector has been neglected for years by previous administrations calling for opposition members of parliament to work with the government.
In the fight against corruption, President Hichilema has warned that those found corrupt are on their own, committing to fight past, present and future corruption.
He has urged citizens to walk away from supporting those who are corrupt.
And the head of state has challenged retailers in communities to reduce prices for essential commodities following a reduction by manufacturers.
