ZAMBIA AND BOTSWANA SIGN KAZUNGULA BRIDGE AUTHORITY HOST COUNTRY AGREEMENT



The Governments of Zambia and Botswana have concluded negotiations for Addendum No. 3 to the Agreement to Sponsor the Construction and Operation of the Bridge Infrastructure at Kazungula. 


The latest addendum strengthens the legal and operational framework guiding the management of the Kazungula Bridge.


The two countries have agreed to sign a Host Agreement governing the hosting of the Authority in Botswana. 


The agreement, entered into between the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, and the Kazungula Bridge Authority, formalises the institutional arrangements and operational presence of the authority in Botswana.


Minister of Infrastructure, Housing and Urban Development, Hon. Eng. Charles L. Milupi and Botswana Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, Hon. Noah Salakae signed Addendum No. 3 on behalf of the two member states.



The Host Country Agreement was signed by Kazungula Bridge Authority Executive Director, Mr. Mukela Muyunda and Hon. Salakae.
