ECZ ANNOUNCES END OF INSPECTION OF THE PROVISIONAL REGISTER OF VOTERS.

 


 

The Electoral Commission of Zambia wishes to inform the general public that the Inspection of the Provisional Register of Voters comes to an end today, Tuesday, 10th 

March 2026.

ECZ Chief Electoral Officer Brown Kasaro says the Online Inspection of the Provisional Register of Voters commenced on Sunday, 22nd February 2026, while the Physical Inspection exercise at all polling stations across the country opened on 2nd March 2026.

Mr. Kasaro says both online and physical inspection exercises were initially scheduled to end on Sunday, 8th March 2026.

However, the Commission extended the inspection period by two days to allow more eligible voters an opportunity to verify their details and facilitate for services such as transfers, and replacement of lost, damaged or defaced voter’s cards, claims, objections and Appeals.

He says the Commission is satisfied that a reasonable number of Registered Voters have verified their details and accessed the services provided during the inspection period.

Mr. Kasato has advised the public that both the Online and Physical Inspection of the Provisional Register of Voters will close today, Tuesday, 10th March 2026.

He has emphasise that there shall be no further extension of the inspection period.

Mr. Kasaro says members of the public who have not yet verified their details are strongly encouraged to do so before the close of the exercise today.
