Mr. Chanda says notably, this will become the second boarding secondary school established within five years, following the construction of Our Lady of Victories Boarding Secondary School by the Catholic Church in the Mpika Diocese.

He said this steady expansion of educational infrastructure signals a new chapter for the district.

Mr. Chanda has commended President Hakainde Hichilema and the Ministry of Education (Zambia) for their continued commitment to improving access to quality education through infrastructure development across the country.

He has also extended Gratitude to the World Bank, whose partnership continues to play a pivotal role in transforming the education sector in Kanchibiya.

Mr. Chanda said special appreciation goes to His Royal Highness Chief Mpepo for generously providing the land on which Katumba Boarding Secondary School is being constructed.

Mr. Chanda said Kanchibiya is hungry for development.
