TONSE PRESIDENT VISITS MUNIR ZULU
Today I visited Hon Munir Zulu at his residence here in Lusaka not for a casual engagement but for a very deliberate and important national assignment.
On behalf of the Tonse Alliance, I extended a firm invitation to him to join the leadership of our coalition as we move towards the August 13 elections.
This decision is not made lightly, it reflects both urgency and national interest, from Eastern, Muchinga, Southern and Central Provinces, our people especially the youths are looking for credible leadership. They are looking for direction and they are looking to all of us to rise to the occasion.
I made it clear to Hon Zulu that this is a moment for collective leadership, together, we must guide this political force in the direction we believe it must take to liberate our nation.
The energy, the determination and growing involvement of young people in national affairs cannot be ignored. From Youth Day commemorations to various engagements across the country, it is evident that young people are ready and they must be part of the next national leadership.
I also acknowledged the challenges Hon Zulu has faced. His journey out of incarceration has not been easy and I recognize the impact it has had on him and his family but our call to him goes beyond personal circumstances, it is about national duty.
We believe he has a role to play and we have invited him to take up that responsibility.
As Tonse Alliance, we remain committed to building a united inclusive and forward looking leadership that reflects the aspirations of the Zambian people.
Hon.Brian Mundubile
Tonse Alliance President
