ZAMBIA, KOREA STRENGTHEN TIED

Vice President Mutale Nalumango has emphasised Zambia's commitment to strengthening its bilateral relationship with South Korea, particularly in agriculture, education, and community development.


During a courtesy call by Korean Ambassador to Zambia Jae Kyung Park,  Dr. Nalumango highlighted the strong and growing bilateral ties, citing cooperation in key sectors such as education, agriculture, science, and technology.


"We value our strong and growing bilateral relationship, as seen in Korea's support for Zambia's development agenda," she said,


The Vice President added that the two countries are working together in various fields, including the implementation of the Saemaul Undong movement, a village development concept inspired by South Korea's New Village Movement.


Dr. Nalumango expressed Zambia's interest in learning from South Korea's experience in rural development and invited the Korean government to support Zambia's resettlement program, aimed at improving rural livelihoods and developing smart villages.


And Ambassador Park stressed South Korea's commitment to supporting Zambia's development efforts, highlighting ongoing projects in agriculture, technical and vocational education, and community development. 


He also praised Zambia's democratic progress and expressed confidence in the country's peaceful and transparent elections.


The meeting underscores the strong ties between Zambia and South Korea, with both countries committed to deepening their cooperation for mutual benefit.
