AIRCRAFT MAKES EMERGENCY IN NANGOMA

NANGOMA member of Parliament Eng. Collins Nzovu says on Monday a Corporate Air Cessna 206 (Reg 9J-BDA) made an emergency landing near Naleza gate Muchabi ward of Nangoma Constituency after an engine malfunction.

Rng. Nzovu says the two pilots on board survived without injuries and were evacuated by ZAF under its search-and-rescue mandate.

He says  the aircraft was on a routine return flight from Chunga Camp to KKIA.

Eng. Nzovu says "Yesterday, we visited the scene in the company of the District Commissioner and we later briefed the President. We want to assure our people in the area: this was a pure accident involving a friendly aircraft."

He says there is no danger, and urged people to keep clear of the plane as recovery work continues.

Eng. Nzovu says the aircraft will be transported to Lusaka soon.
