LIVINGSTONE TO HOST THE INTERNATIONAL CULTURAL ARTS FESTIVAL.
LUSAKA, ZAMBIA –7th APRIL 2026
The Ministry of Tourism has announced
that Zambia will host the upcoming Livingstone International Cultural Arts Festival (LICAF) from 10th to 11th April 2026 in the vibrant tourism capital, Livingstone.
LICAF 2026 is set to showcase Zambia’s rich cultural heritage, artistic excellence and creative industries, while also promoting cultural exchange and regional integration.
The festival will bring together artists, performers, cultural practitioners and visitors from across the country and beyond for two days of immersive cultural experiences, including traditional performances, exhibitions, music, dance and culinary displays.
Speaking ahead of the event, the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism Mr. Evans Muhanga has emphasized the importance of the festival in positioning Zambia as a leading cultural tourism destination:
“The Livingstone International Cultural Arts Festival is a vital platform for celebrating our diverse cultural identity and showcasing Zambia’s creative talent to the world. As Government, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote cultural tourism and empower our creative sector.”
The Permanent Secretary further highlighted the festival’s role in advancing the national vision under Brand Zambia.
“LICAF 2026 aligns with the aspirations of Brand Zambia by promoting our unique cultural identity, strengthening our global image and positioning Zambia as a destination of choice for authentic cultural experiences. Through this festival, we are telling our story to the world proudly and creatively.”
The Permanent Secretary also extended an open invitation to the public, stakeholders and international visitors.
“I wish to warmly invite members of the public, local and international tourists, artists and all stakeholders to come through and be part of LICAF 2026 in Livingstone from 10th to 11th April. This is an opportunity to experience the beauty of Zambia’s culture, connect with creatives and celebrate our shared heritage.”
The Ministry encourages all participants to take part in this exciting festival and explore the many attractions that Livingstone has to offer, including the iconic Mosi-oa-Tunya Falls and a wide range of adventure and cultural experiences.
