ZDA HAVE EMBARKED ON A JOINT INVESTMENT PROMOTION IN CHINA.

 


The Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Beijing and the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) have embarked on a joint investment promotion road show in the People’s Republic of China from 7th to 16th April 2026.

 

The road show covers Shanghai; Suzhou and Nanjing cities in Jiangsu Province, Hefei City in Anhui Province and Linyi City in Shandong Province.

 

The road show aims to promote Zambia as a competitive destination for investment and to strengthen Zambia–China economic cooperation.

 

The delegation is led by ZDA Director General, Mr. Albert Halwampa and by Zambia’s Ambassador to China Ivan Zyuulu, the ZDA investment team and diplomats from the Embassy of Zambia in Beijing.

 

The delegation is engaging enterprises and provincial stakeholders to present Zambia’s investment opportunities in key sectors such as mining, agriculture, manufacturing, energy, ICT, tourism and infrastructure.

 

The road show commenced in Suzhou City where the delegation met various companies and participated in the Shanghai Metals Conference.

 

During the conference, the Ambassador participated in a panel discussion on Zambia’s copper policies and the outlook of copper production over the next three to five years, highlighting Zambia’s strategic importance in the global minerals supply chain.

 

As the road show continues, the delegation is currently in Nanjing City, where an investment forum was successfully held on 10th April, 2026 with attendance of over 300 enterprises interested in Zambia’s investment opportunities.

 

The strong participation demonstrates increasing interest in Zambia as a reliable and investor-friendly destination.

 

The Embassy of the Republic of Zambia in Beijing continues to play a vital role in facilitating engagements, coordinating meetings and linking potential investors to Zambia for economic growth and development.
